Lawn Be Gone Rebate Program
All ACWD customers can receive a rebate for removing their lawns and installing a water-efficient landscape.* The Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency (BAWSCA) is administering this program on ACWD's behalf. The rebate is based on the number of square feet of lawn removed. ACWD is currently offering $2.00/sq.ft of lawn that is removed and replaced with a water-efficient landscape. The maximum rebate for single-family residential accounts is $3,000, and for commercial, industrial, institutional, and HOAs common turf area projects the maximum rebate is $20,000 per site.
*To be eligible for this rebate, customers must submit an application and receive approval before beginning a landscape conversion project. Customers are also required to attend Virtual Office Hours with a Water Use Efficiency Specialist.
